Board Engagement:
Creating ambassadors for your organization
Audience:
Nonprofit leaders in small organizations with an annual operating budget less than $500K
At its best, board service is a satisfying mutual exchange of knowledge, leadership opportunities, and tangible support for a cause that matters.
Non-profit leaders- board and staff- want their board members to be engaged in the work of the organization. Typically, this means providing meaningful support for the organization’s fundraising efforts. And yet, a recent survey found only 15% of board members would try to make introductions and open doors for development efforts.
This webinar will offer practical suggestions for increasing your board members’ participation- and satisfaction with- this critical aspect of board work.
Beyond fundraising, you will also learn
- WHO should be leading your board member recruitment efforts
- WHY onboarding and orientation so important
- WHAT highly engaged boards have in common
Tools include: a board recruitment matrix and an orientation checklist
