Administrative Assistant

The Victory Center is the region’s only cancer wellness center that offers completely free programs and services for cancer patients, survivors and families. We are currently seeking a full-time, non-exempt, Administrative Assistant to be a part of our team. This position sets the tone of each newcomer’s experience through their welcoming greeting, empathetic nature and caring assistance. The Administrative Assistant determines the initial impression and atmosphere of The Victory Center.

Specific responsibilities and duties include:

  • Managing appointments for participants and filling cancellations
  • Filing paperwork
  • Directing incoming calls and making reminder calls
  • Welcoming all visitors and answering questions as needed
  • Managing processing of participant paperwork
  • Helping team members with events, clerical tasks, etc.

Minimum qualifications:

  • High school diploma, though some college would be preferred
  • Strong computer skills, including a working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Outlook and databases
  • Pleasant personality with patience and compassion
  • Well-organized, cooperative and a team player
  • Dependable and reliable
  • Experience in a non-profit or medical environment is preferred, as well as experience as a receptionist or administrative assistant
  • Ability to occasionally work a flexible schedule

General hours will be business hours, Monday – Friday, with the ability to work a little later on Wednesdays.
