About Sunshine:
Sunshine Communities, Inc. is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization located in Northwest Ohio supporting individuals with developmental disabilities through residential, vocational, clinical, therapeutic, and recreational services. These services are offered in various circumstances including at our Maumee, Ohio campus and at homes within the community. In addition to programs on campus, Sunshine individuals and staff operate in downtown Maumee, Georgette’s Grounds and Gifts, a coffee shop and Sunshine Studios, an art studio space with a fair trade gift store offering classes to individuals and the community.
SUMMARY
Oversee the information technology operations with a focus on enhanced internal efficiency while leading a team of IT professionals to ensure the reliable operations and security of Sunshine’s technology infrastructure as well as maintain, grow and innovate.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree from four-year College or university in Computer Science or Information Systems or equivalent business degree. A Master’s degree is preferred
- Four to ten years’ of IT related experience and/or training required
- Strong technical knowledge of network and PC operating systems required
- Valid Driver’s License, good driving record and Auto Insurance
- Pass criminal background, drug screen, physical & able to lift 60 lbs.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: include the following:
- Uses strategic planning to establish and drive IT vision, ensuring alignment with Sunshine’s goals.
- Develops IT policies and practices that foster innovation, security and efficiency.
- Ensures the seamless and secure operations of all IT systems while championing efficiency and reliability.
- Leads and manages a team of IT professionals, providing coaching and mentorship to ensure their development and success.
- Engages, builds and partners with the executive team, board of directors and vendors to ensure alignment with current and long-term business objectives.
- Plans, coordinates, directs and designs IT-related activities of the agency, as well as provides administrative direction and support of daily operational activities of the IT department.
- Manages the deployment, monitoring, maintenance, development, upgrade and support of all IT systems, including servers, PCs, operating systems, hardware, software, peripherals and office automation equipment.
- Develops configuration and performance standards for network and implements and monitors controls to ensure they are maintained.
- Benchmarks, analyzes, reports on and makes recommendations for the improvement and growth of the IT infrastructure and IT systems.
- Develops IT budget, develops business case justifications, and cost/benefit analysis for IT spending and initiatives.
- Establishes and reviews regular written and in-person communications with Sunshine’s Directors, and users regarding pertinent IT activities.
- Maintains awareness of changing trends and regulations, which might affect the department and acts on as required.
- Ensures that the IT Team utilizes technology to provide staff with a fast, accurate, and secure method to access information, in order that staff can be serviced in a highly efficient and effective manner. Ensures support is provided to internal staff in a professional, courteous and timely manner.
- Maintains a working knowledge of data related activities and tools to support reporting needs of the organization.
- Oversees contract negotiations with IT vendors, contractors and service providers
- Approves purchases of technological equipment and software.
