Day Program Director

Bittersweet Farms is a world renowned leader in serving individuals with autism. We are seeking a full time Day Program Director for Bittersweet Farms located in Whitehouse, OH.

The Day Program Director will oversee the Whitehouse and Lima day programs overseeing a department of up to 30 DSPs and be in direct supervision of Managers and specialists, working together in the general supervision of the Day Program. The Director position also oversees the Pemberville Transition School serving adolescents with autism. This person must work to foster relationships with residents, students and staff by upholding dignity, respect, and kindness. Priding oneself on recognizing the unique qualities and needs of each individual with autism and addressing those needs appropriately.

Responsibilities for the position include:

· Oversee all operations in Day Programs, Summer Enrichment Camps, and Transition School Programming to ensure efficient management of all County and State funding systems

· Oversee all Quality Assurance checks and submission of Behavior Support Documentation to the County Board

· Work to support individuals utilizing Employment First

· Oversee Bittersweet Farms product management, culinary programs, and Community Supported Agriculture program

· Ensure team development for the entire Day, Transition and Summer Programs to fulfill the Bittersweet mission

· Ensure all policies and procedures of Bittersweet are upheld and followed

· All other duties as assigned by the Program Services Director while working in collaboration with other Coordinators/Directors.

The right person will need a positive, energetic, “can do” attitude as the Day Program Director. Strong organizational, analytical, communication and problem solving skills are needed to succeed. Qualified candidates will possess technical competence in the areas of program development and management, behavioral health care planning and delivery, project design, management and outcome evaluation. Ability to travel between Whitehouse Pemberville, and Lima, OH required. Three to five years of experience working with individuals with autism and/or developmental disabilities required. Bachelor’s Degree required. Master’s preferred.

 

Pay: $55k-62k
