Director of Finance

Neighborhood Health Association – Assist the Chief Financial Officer in providing strong and competent leadership and “hands on” performance in the management of all fiscal matters for the Neighborhood Health Association including the day-to-day management of the Finance Department, assuring timely and accurate financial reporting.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Directs and responsible for, through subordinate personnel, all audit, payroll, and accounts payable functions.
  • Preparation and ongoing monitoring of annual organizational operating budget by department.
  • Preparation and submission of all federal financial reports including monthly, quarterly and annual expenditure reports, budgets and their revisions.
  • Provides documentation and assists with the annual audit.

Skills/Qualifications

  • Must have a Bachelor’s degree with in accounting, or a degree in business or health care administration with a major in accounting. Master’s degree preferred.
  • Must have at least three to six (3-6) years of financial experience in the health care field or public accounting field with health care and/or non-profit experience.
  • Directs and responsible for, through subordinate personnel, all audit, payroll, and accounts payable functions.
  • Preparation and ongoing monitoring of annual organizational operating budget by department.
  • Preparation and submission of all federal financial reports including monthly, quarterly and annual expenditure reports, budgets and their revisions.
  • Experience within computerized accounting system.
  • Must treat highly confidential information with the highest level of integrity
  • Must be hardworking, honest and trustworthy
  • Must maintain a high degree of efficiency and accuracy in a fast-paced environment
  • Must be highly organized and deadline focused
  • Must maintain professionalism and courteous demeanor even in stressful situations

 

This position is Full-Time Monday – Friday, no evenings, weekends or holidays.

Neighborhood Health Association (NHA), a Federally Qualified Health Center (FQHC), is the largest community health center system in Northwest Ohio with partnerships that include ProMedica, Mercy Health, and University of Toledo Medical Center.
