Qualifications:

· High School Diploma or GED

· 18 years of age or older

· Prior experience working with children and families in an educational setting preferred

Job Description:

Substitute Teachers will provide backup teaching services for a variety of child care centers throughout Lucas County. Children in the centers have ages ranging from 6 weeks to 12 years. Substitutes create and maintain respectful classroom cultures that foster healthy, safe and productive learning environments. Substitute Teachers execute classroom lesson plans and interact with children and families to ensure whole child development. Substitutes follow all child care center policies and procedures while adhering to ODJFS rules and regulations, as well as SUTQ requirements and standards. The system in which Substitute Teachers maintain their employment is fully automated and they are notified via email, phone, or text message when assignments becomes available. Substitutes choose which jobs they would like to work from a list of jobs posted. Selected candidates will complete a background check, provide a physical and complete specific trainings, pursuant to licensing regulations. An incentive bonus may be earned upon completion of onboarding training and after 5th job placements have been worked (available to the first 20 successful applicants.)
