Elder Victim Advocate

Elder Victim Advocate: Full-time, 40-hour a week, position to provide direct victim services to elders in Allen County.  Duties: advocate for elder violent and property crime victims with safety planning; trauma-responsive crisis counseling; justice system advocacy; spiritual advocacy; and emergency financial assistance.  Conduct case management, including partner-agency referrals.  Assist with volunteer recruitment and management.  Monitor and advocate for cases with the justice system and through Sexual Assault-Multidisciplinary Action Response Team (SAMART).  Collaborate with community partners at the Allen County Elder Justice Interdisciplinary Team meetings. Raise awareness about elder abuse through partner and public education, outreach events and social media.  Completion of a Bachelor’s Degree in Social Work is preferred or other degrees providing eligibility for Licensure.  Competitive pay and benefits.  Send resume, 3 personal and 3 professional references to Elysia Bush, Elder Victim Ministry Director, Crime Victim Services, 330 N.
