Executive Director
The Executive Director represents the Center and serves as the chief administrative officer, managing director, and primary contact for all Monroe Street Neighborhood Center programming. The Executive Director must be or become deeply knowledgeable of the culture and dynamics of the community served, committed to the values and goals of the Center, and able to work effectively and collaboratively with all program constituents.
Responsibilities:
- Work collaboratively with the Board of Directors to uphold and advance the mission and values of the Center, and to develop and implement a strategic plan that promotes that mission.
- Development of strategic partnerships to increase community awareness and grow programming
- Work collaboratively with the mission and leadership of Monroe Street United Methodist Church.
- Oversight of program managers and accountability to the Board of Directors for all programs and services of the Center
- Oversight of the Center’s financial performance and resource development through relationship building, grant writing, and fundraising
- Building and strengthening relationships with the communities served by the center and connecting those communities with resources in the greater Toledo area.
- Recruitment, selection, and development of Center staff and volunteers
- Marketing, public relations and communications management that promote the Center and its stature in the community.
Reports to: Board of Directors
Qualifications:
- Leadership and supervisory skills and a proven track record in successful non-profit management
- Excellent written and oral communication skills
- Skilled and experienced in managing people
- Experience in promoting transparent, informed and collaborative decision making
- Skilled in listening and conflict resolution
- Experience in fundraising and grant writing
- Bachelor’s degree in related field preferred
