Director of Surgical Services
Directs, supervises, and coordinates the operations and activities of surgical services, including perioperative services. There are about 185 FTEs. UTMC has 13 operating rooms in the main hospital and 4 operating rooms in the minimally invasive surgical center. There are 4 endoscopy suites. We have an active Level II Trauma Program and perform about 100 trauma surgeries per year. UTMC is on track for about 240 transplant surgeries this year. Our overall surgical volume annually is approximately 7,500 cases. The Director of Surgical Services is responsible for implementing, overseeing, and coordinating various program-related activities and/or projects assigned on an ongoing basis. Recommends and implements changes in policy, practice, and service to achieve hospital goals. Plans, promotes, directs, and leads assigned departments in a manner consistent with University Medical Center’s mission and values.
Requirements:
- Master’s Degree in Hospital Administration, Business Administration, Nursing, or related field.
- Minimum of seven (7) years of prior acute care leadership experience with demonstrated advancement of responsibilities.
- Experience in strategic planning and execution, formulation of policy, building and developing financial plans, managing resources, and leading successful teams.
- Project management skills.
- Experience in an academic health center preferred.
- Significant related experience may be considered in lieu of the above requirements.
- Active Ohio Registered Nursing license.
Pay:
$105,000 – 158,000
