Office Cleaning Coordinator (Part Time)

The Office Cleaning Coordinator is responsible for cleaning office buildings and dog training facilities on The Ability Center’s main campus in Sylvania. They must ensure that each of the four buildings meet housekeeping and sanitation requirements. The Office Cleaning Coordinator will delegate cleaning responsibilities to other staff as assigned and oversee tasks. Facilities must be clean and comfortable spaces for employees, consumers, and volunteers to work in and visit. Must be able to work around dogs. The typical work schedule will be Monday-Thursday, 3:00 pm – 7:00 pm, Friday, 2:00 pm-6:00 pm.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
• Clean and sanitize office buildings, conference rooms, kitchens, kitchenettes, and bathrooms.
• Keep bathrooms and kitchen areas stocked with supplies.
• Vacuum carpets and rugs; mop solid surface floors as scheduled.
• Clean mirrors and other glass surfaces throughout facilities.
• Empty trash receptacles and dispose of waste, replace trash liners.
• Disinfect door handles and door latches as scheduled.
• Dust furniture, fixtures, and blinds in conference rooms and lobby areas.
• Keep cleaning materials and equipment organized and stored away at the end of each shift.
• Follow all safety guidelines and standards while promoting a culture of safety.
• Will delegate cleaning responsibilities to other staff as assigned and oversee tasks.
• Performs other duties as directed.

Qualifications: High School Diploma preferred. Commercial/building cleaning experience preferred. Ability to complete list of assigned tasks within established timeline. Knowledge of cleaning equipment, products, and other materials used in custodial services. Ability to read signs and labels for chemicals used, follow oral and written instructions, and communicate with supervisor. Must be able to perform light manual labor and lift up to 30 lbs. Commitment to following safety guidelines when handling cleaning solution or chemicals. Must have good customer service skills, with a positive, friendly disposition. Demonstrates personal accountability and shows appropriate respect to co-workers and visitors. Must be trustworthy.

Essential Physical Demands: The essential physical demands described here must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. The employee in this position will need to be moving for most of their work shift. Ability to carry or lift light to medium weight equipment or furniture. Will stoop bend, reach, stretch, push, and pull items daily. Must be able to move and/or lift material and damp mops or towels and move carts during the cleaning process. The employee will use vacuums, mops, brooms, and other equipment necessary to complete cleaning tasks. The employee may frequently move from one office space to another, meeting spaces, and from one building to another during each shift. This position communicates with others infrequently, however, will be working during some office hours.
