Operations Manager, Connecting Kids To Meals

Local nonprofit hunger-relief agency is seeking an experienced/knowledgeable operations manager to oversee the daily operations of our high-volume food service department. A qualified candidate should have experience managing Federal Nutrition Programs including the Summer Food Service Program, the Child and Adult Care Food Program or managing a school food service department. In the absence of Federal Nutrition Programs or School Food Service experience, other qualifications could include a Certified Dietary Manager with experience in an institutional kitchen setting or a Kitchen Manger with at least three (3) years of proven experience.

Typical responsibilities include overseeing daily operations including oversight of food service operation requirements like ordering, receiving, storage, assembling and delivery of meals; menu planning; ensuring food safety compliance; HR policy and procedures; assist with the preparation of Operational and Program Budgets; assist in the roll-out of strategic plans; and representing the organization at community activities.
