About Sunshine:

Sunshine Communities, Inc. is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization located in Northwest Ohio supporting individuals with developmental disabilities through residential, vocational, clinical, therapeutic, and recreational services. These services are offered in various circumstances including at our Maumee, Ohio campus and at homes within the community. In addition to programs on campus, Sunshine individuals and staff operate in downtown Maumee, Georgette’s Grounds and Gifts, a coffee shop and Sunshine Studios, an art studio space with a fair trade gift store offering classes to individuals and the community.

Qualifications

  • Associates degree from 2-year college or technical school or higher
  • 1-3 years related experience/training and project management experience
  • Strong communication skills, interest in working with individuals with developmental disabilities with adaptive or assistive technology.
  • Creative, innovative, interested in robots, likes to train and help others learn new programs to their fullest potential
  • Valid Driver’s License, good driving record and Auto Insurance
  • Pass criminal background, drug screen, physical & able to lift 60 lbs.

SUMMARY Responsible for integration of assistive technology and implementation of clinical software applications through education and collaboration between departments. Provides support, training and technical assistance to users.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

  • Project Management for implementation or integration of technology to assist individuals as well staff within the organization
  • Provide organizational support as someone who champions technology and the Tech First culture shift
  • Researches and makes recommendations for new program development and implementation integrating technology in conjunction with IT department and available resources including timelines
  • Provides training and support for the ongoing use of iCareManager and other program area software applications including configuration, workflows, permission set-up, testing, and consistent standards of use
  • Responsible for developing and editing training guides, Relias Modules, and keeping the online electronic training environments current with new features and functions. Stays current on functionality improvements in new versions and testing during upgrades; on an ongoing basis, takes advantage of available resources to improve knowledge and understanding of the system.
  • Provides “at the elbow” support for new users in all areas as well as virtual training where appropriate
  • Completes applicable trainings and certifications on an ongoing basis and keeps current with new developments in assistive and adaptive technology
  • Assists as needed with integration of the Ohio ISP and iCareManager use as well as compliance with the Technology First rule and the OISP
  • Collaborates with the IT department around infrastructure, hardware, and software needs
  • Assists IT Helpdesk with first level support for some software applications
