United Way of Greater Toledo Food Security Coordinator – AmeriCorps Vista

ShareCorps-United Way Toledo-Food Security Coordinator

United Way of Greater Toledo (UWGT) connects community resources to collaboratively address complex issues surrounding health, education, financial stability and housing. We raise approximately $8 million a year, engage nearly 20,000 donors, interact with over 450 area companies and industries, and in 2020, we recruited and mobilized 1,000+ volunteers who have donated 16,000+ hours of labor to regional non-profit organizations. Funds collected by United Way are invested back into the community to strengthen our focus areas (health, education, financial stability and housing) which are the building blocks for a good life. We invest in 50 organizations who operate 60 unique programs. Under our health pillar, we fund programs specific to food insecurity and have recently amplified our efforts to convene partners across the community to find solutions to hunger.
