Job Description
Wendy’s Wonderful Kids Supervisor

HOURS: Full-time positions 40 hours per week. Flexible hours on evenings and weekends as
needed.

QUALIFICATIONS:
A. Bachelor’s degree in Social Work, Counseling, Human Development and Family Studies or similar
program.
B. Tier 1 and Tier 2 Adoption Assessor Certification or availability to complete Tier I and Tier 2 within
first year of employment.
C. Satisfactory background check through BCII.
D. supervisory experience preferred but not required
E. Good communication skills in negotiation, listening, assessing, counseling, speaking,
writing and documentation.
F. Ability to oversee staff
G. Good computer skills.
H. Knowledge of ODJFS adoption laws and rules, child welfare issues and adoption
home study procedures and requirements.
I. Ability to work under pressure, prioritize tasks and work independently.
J. Excellent time management skills.
K. Willingness to work collaboratively with the WWK team and county agency staff.
RELATIONSHIP: Reports to: Families for Kids Manager

RESPONSIBILITIES:
A. Supervise caseloads of WWK Recruiters.
B. Network with outside agency workers and professionals to promote the WWK’s program and the
agency’s access to Adopt America Network services on behalf of children in foster care.
C. Attend and participate in area meetings, recruitment events, conferences, and trainings, as requested by
the manager.
D. Keep supervisor apprised of progress, activity and problems with assigned recruiters.
E. Meet with the WWK Grant Manager as needed and be the liaison between the Grant manager and the
WWK Recruiters
F. Ensure fidelity by all recruiters to the child-specific recruitment model as defined by the Dave Thomas
Foundation for Adoption.
G. Oversee the Child Trends database and ensure accurate rep01iing for assigned recruiters
H. Perform Performance reviews for assigned recruiters
I. Ensure adequate orientation and training over WWK ( duties, AAN, and Lexis Nexus, as well as other
needs.
J. Other duties as assigned by the Manager
