TREATMENT MANAGER JOB DESCRIPTION

JOB TITLE:

Treatment Manager

ACCOUNTABILITY:

This position reports to the Treatment Director and will oversee the day-to-day operations of the Treatment Department within Court Diagnostic & Treatment Center. This position will be an integral part of the treatment program management team.

JOB SUMMARY:

This position is responsible for the management of clinical processes and initiatives and compile documented outcomes as well as provide clinical education and support for the agency.

MAIN DUTIES

  • Maintain the relevant Continuous Quality Improvement systems and ensure the timely submission of all documentation for quality client care, and CARF, LCMHB, and ODMH monitoring groups.
  • Assist in the development of RFP’s and contracts with key funding sources, in tandem with the Executive and Treatment Directors.
  • Work independently and cooperatively within the treatment department and with other services to support the development and growth of treatment, evaluation, collateral services.
  • Assist and support the application and implementation process for research grants.
  • Work closely with the Treatment Director providing input in the creation of branding and marketing plans for assigned service line.
  • Provide support to treatment department clinicians in meetings with various advocacy groups.
  • Oversee the clinical supervision of assigned program staff including the review of clinical records, professional competencies, and continuous quality improvement initiatives.
  • Support and monitoring of program budgets.
  • Participate in planning committees and work groups within the organization.
  • Serve at the direction of the Treatment Director.
  • Be on-call on a rotating basis.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:

Assist with interviews, hiring, training, supervision, and appraisal of program personnel and directly supervise a team of behavioral health care technicians and clinicians.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, ABILITIES:

  • Careful attention to detail, knowledge and familiarity with national behavioral healthcare accreditation standards and procedures.
  • Substantial writing and speaking skills, and the use of multiple computer applications and the willingness to learn new technologies.
  • Have a comprehensive knowledge of all aspects of clinical management including fiscal, utilization, compliance, 3rd party reimbursement and clinical service expertise.
  • Be a strong manager with the ability to support new business opportunities, and maintain effective clinical programs.
  • Have the understanding and experience working within organizational and program budgets.
  • Develop and implement plans, policies, and procedures.
  • Participate in team problem solving between departments or functional areas.
  • Develop performance evaluation standards and provide appropriate feedback to direct reports.
  • Capable of handling multiple projects simultaneously while planning, organizing and achieving goals.
  • Self-motivated and able to use own initiative.

CREDENTIALS AND EXPERIENCE:

Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor, Licensed Independent Social Worker, or Licensed Marriage & Family Therapist from the State of Ohio. Knowledge of social service agencies, state regulations and standards as they relate to client treatment, client rights, and client confidentiality.  Knowledge and experience in forensic services and/or providing direct services to those in the criminal justice system, highly desirable. Minimum of three years experience in mental health setting with two years supervisory experience.

INTERACTION:

Work closely with the Administrative, Clerical, and Clinical staff in other departments to align clinical strategies with key objectives, and be able to cooperate with coworkers in creating a smooth workflow and productive group.
