Infant Educator

General Description A Lead Infant Early Childhood Educator is responsible for children ages 6 weeks up to 18 months old, walking and ready to transition into the toddler room. Along with supervising the children, the lead position is responsible for executing curriculum, screenings, assessments, conferences, communicating with parents, sharing tasks with an assistant teacher and providing a safe and healthy environment.

Qualifications

Successful completion of degree; AA or BA in Early Childhood Education or related field. Qualifications must be equivalent to Career Pathways III.

Experience with the following software/programs is strongly encouraged:
Teaching Strategies GOLD
ASQ:SE, ASQ:3
Procare Parent Engagement App
Creative Curriculum

Personal qualities and special job characteristics.

Must be physically able to perform the job of Early Childhood Educator including lifting, shifting and maneuvering weight up to 50 pounds. Must have a warm supportive attitude toward children. Must be reliable and dependable. Must be flexible in receiving assignments or adapting to changes within the program/organization. Must be willing to accept supervision in order to improve work performance. Must be willing to perform the duties as required.
