Preschool/PreK Teachers & Assistants- Full Time with Benefits (benefits package worth $10,000+)

Head Start classroom located in a Step Up to Quality Star 5 Center

Plan and implement developmentally appropriate activities for children ages 3-5 years, following Head Start standards.  Work as a team player and follow all  licensing rules and safety rules.  Must love working with children and families!

Associate or higher degree in ECE preferred, Preschool CDA accepted

Patient, kind, love working with children and families

Preferred: Associate or Bachelor’s degree in child development or early childhood education, equivalent coursework, or otherwise meet requirements for a Head Start teacher (based on coursework, training and experience).

Will consider candidates with a Preschool CDA.

• Promotes children’s security and attachment
• Supports families in extending learning at home by providing take-home activities, home visits, and parent-teacher conferences

Observation, analysis, planning & documentation

• Monitors children’s progress per goals developed by teachers, other staff and specialists, including goals on IFSP’s
• Identifies children who need referrals, in collaboration with other staff, specialists and families
• Contributes to program reports to officials and funders by providing accurate data
