Salary: $14HR ($24,960) – $20HR ($41,600)

The Thomas M. Wernert Center (TMWC) is looking for an administrative assistant to provide daily support to
the administrative team, including a range of finance, human resource, and clerical duties. The Administrative
Assistant will be able to proactively solve problems, support multiple individuals, communicate effectively,
and have strong skills in Microsoft office products. Personal or lived experience with mental illness or related
fields in social service preferred. This position is full-time, 40 hours per week with medical, dental, life, shortterm disability, employee assistance program, retirement (403B), and paid time off.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
• Coordinate and execute necessary tasks that enhance administrative workflow
• Support Finance Director with payroll, accounts payable/receivable, and other functions
• Assist in preparing for board meetings, including recording and drafting of minutes
• Assist with grants and proposal submissions as needed
• Order, purchase, and manage office supply inventory
• Organize meeting logistics, including scheduling, materials, location, and catering
• Assist with Human Resource functions, including new employee orientation
• Maintains discretion and confidentiality in relationships with staff, and board of trustees

Qualification, Education, and Abilities
• Associate Degree in a related field, or significant and progressive work experience in lieu of degree
• Experience working with computers required; specifically Microsoft Word, QuickBooks, Access,
and Excel
• Personal or lived experience with mental illness or having knowledge of mental illness preferred
• Excellent verbal and written communication, decision making, and problem solving skills
• Creative and strategic problem solver.
• Highly collaborative team player willing to jump in to support others on the team.
• Ability to work with a diverse population
• Requires patience and the ability to work well with others
• Needs minimal or no supervision to complete duties
