St. John’s Jesuit High School & Academy, an all-boys school serving approximately 750 boys in Northwest, Ohio from grades 6-12, is in search of a full-time Career Counseling Coordinator. Under the guidance of the Director of College and Career Counseling, the Career Counseling Coordinator assists students in grades 9-12 by creating opportunities for career growth and exploration. The Career Counseling Coordinator  plans and implements class trips to explore career opportunities, reaches out to and collaborates with SJJ community members to set up internship and job shadowing opportunities, and presents information on opportunities for career exploration to parents and students. 

Candidates must act in a way to aid in the formation of Men for Others through the Graduate at Graduation; loving, open to growth, intellectually competent, religious, and committed to doing justice. A bachelor’s degree with previous experience working with children is required.  Candidates must possess strong oral and written communication skills, problem solving skills and organizational skills. This position often represents the school to students, families and the greater community in Northwest, Ohio therefore presenting a welcoming, friendly and professional environment is essential.  Candidates must be able to successfully pass BCI/FBI background checks and Diocese of Toledo Protecting Youth Requirements to work in a school setting.

Compensation Range: $40,000-45,000 per year. This is a 10-month position that typically works normal business hours.  This position may occasionally work nights, weekends and reduced hours in the summer as needed.
