Executive Director
Joyful Connections is a 501 C3 nonprofit looking for a new Executive Director. A bachelor’s degree in social work, human and family development, social services or a similar field is required. Three to five years working with families and children is preferred. Starting salary range is $43,000.00 – $48,000.00.
- Duties and responsibilities include:
- Lead and coordinate day-to-day operations at the agency.
- Grant writing and researching possible funding sources.
- Participating in meetings and discussions with community partners, area businesses and individuals.
- Manage funds, create budgets, and write checks for the agency to ensure all invoices received are paid.
- Oversee all staff including the Program Manager and Visitation Monitors.
- Maintain and update the website and social media accounts.
- Record program statistics and provide this data to the Board of Directors at monthly meetings.
- Provide Court testimony when required.
- Assist with visitations or exchanges as needed.
- Qualifications:
- Pass State and Federal criminal background checks.
- Possess the ability to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.
- Possess the ability to de-escalate interpersonal situations and resolve conflict.
- Have good verbal and written communication skills.
- Experience with office equipment and proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, Publisher and Access.
- Knowledge and experience with grant writing.
- Knowledge of bookkeeping and ability to operate financial software.
- The ability to work various days and hours required, including some evenings, Saturdays, Sundays and some holidays if necessary.
