We are seeking a Human Resources Generalist to assist with the administration of the day-to-day functions of the Human Resources department. The right candidate will be a team-player with an eye for detail. Someone who is willing to take ownership of a project and see it through from start to finish.

We are looking for a self-motivated, self-starting individual with an HR background who enjoys a challenge!

Job responsibilities will include:

  • Payroll administration (knowledge of ADP is preferred)
  • Benefits administration and tracking
  • Personnel records and file management
  • Monitoring job postings and facilitating candidate selection
  • Pre-screening, onboarding and orientation of new hires
  • Designing and administering a robust program for employee appreciation
  • Assisting with staff training for employee development and advancement
  • Coordinating student externship programs

Job qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree (human resources, business or healthcare administration preferred)
  • Minimum 2 years working in a Human Resources Generalist or Assistant role
  • Minimum 2 years working experience in recruiting and/or talent pool development
  • Mission-driven perspective with a commitment to cultural diversity and inclusion
  • Healthcare experience highly preferred for this role
  • Experience with payroll processing, preferably ADP
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
  • Demonstrated ability to build relationships and influence others
  • Knowledge of employment law including FLSA, EEO, FMLA, and Worker’s Comp
  • Process-driven thinker with detail orientation, accuracy, and ability to check your own work
  • Works independently and as part of a team to solve problems and find creative solutions

This position is Full Time hourly, Monday – Friday, no evenings, weekends or holidays.

Neighborhood Health Association (NHA), a Federally Qualified Health Center (FQHC) in Northwest Ohio with partnerships that include ProMedica, Mercy Health, and University of Toledo Medical Center. NHA has grown from a single location in 1969 to 12 medical and dental clinics throughout Lucas County. Today we operate multiple health centers which offer a variety of services including pediatrics, adult medicine, women’s health, and senior centers. We offer healthcare, dental services, a full-service pharmacy, multiple supportive services and lab services on site. We utilize the Patient-Centered Medical Home (PCMH) model – providing care for individuals who would not normally have access to these services.
