Sophia Center, a sponsored Ministry of the Sylvania Sisters of St Francis is a non-profit, non-denominational faith-based counseling center dedicated to providing therapeutic support to individuals and families in need. Our mission is to promote mental health and emotional well-being through compassionate and professional counseling services.

Job Summary:

Sophia Center is currently seeking independently licensed counselors/therapists/psychologist to join our dedicated team. We are looking for passionate professionals who are committed to making a positive impact in the lives of individuals and families. This position offers flexible hours, making it suitable for both part-time and full-time employment. We especially need clinicians to work with youth and young children, and who have experience in the assessment or treatment of ASD.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide therapeutic counseling services to clients, including children, adolescents, and adults.
  • Conduct assessments and develop treatment plans tailored to each client’s needs.
  • Maintain accurate and confidential client records in compliance with ethical and legal standards.
  • Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to ensure comprehensive client care.
  • Stay current with industry best practices and participate in ongoing professional development.
  • Uphold the mission and values of Sophia Center in all interactions with clients and colleagues.

Qualifications:

  • Current and valid state licensure as a LPCC-S, LPCC, LPC or LISW-S, LISW, LSW or Psychologist
  • Master’s degree in counseling, psychology, social work, or a related field.
  • Experience working with children and adolescents is highly preferred.
  • Experience in assessment and intervention for ASB is desired
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Empathy, compassion, and a commitment to ethical practice.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team.
