Social Media and Video Specialist

We’re seeking a full-time social media and video specialist to manage our social media and assist the marketing team with storytelling through engaging content across social and digital channels. This position requires a creative and imaginative storyteller who enjoys developing and producing timely content, including social videos, memes, gifs.

Responsibilities

  • Create high quality content for social platforms like TikTok, Facebook, YouTube, Instagram and Twitter that tells our story, builds our brand and engages audiences
  • Create, maintain and execute a strategically driven content calendar across all social media platforms and execute the day-to-day process of scheduling and posting
  • Script, shoot, edit and execute day-to-day posting/publishing of social campaigns
  • Assist marketing and creative teams to ensure brand consistency in copy through tone, voice, and assets
  • Create ads for distribution for social channels
  • Develop ideas for marketing strategies to attract users to the platform and social channels
  • Edit content for all channels
  • Engage with social media audiences to build brand awareness, generate leads, and increase online presence
  • Collaborate with Marketing to implement social strategy across all social channels that align with the larger marketing calendar and brand strategy
  • Real-time monitoring of social channels to identify strategic opportunities, provide insights to help guide creative teams, and flag potential

Requirements

  •  3+ years in social media marketing
  • Preferred degree in communications, journalism or digital communications
  • Passion for creating high quality social media content for a variety of platforms
  • Demonstrated experience developing social media campaigns and how to optimize/tailor video to various platforms
  • Excellent written and verbal skills
  • Working knowledge of basic production equipment including photo, video cameras, lighting and audio
  • Proficient with Photoshop and Adobe Creative Suite
  • Knowledge of Sprout Social and Hootsuite
  • Must have a reliable vehicle and be willing to provide transportation to events within the Toledo area. (Mileage will be reimbursed at prevailing IRS rate for use of personally owned vehicle)
