Workforce Specialist / Manager

Toledo Tomorrow is an Education/College & Career Access non-profit organization, and is partnered with the State on a Workforce initiative. This position will help us connect the dots between good companies in the region and individuals trained & looking for skilled jobs.

We work to cultivate partnerships with companies, organizations, students, adults and post-secondary institutions to proactively address workforce needs. Our main goal is to connect individuals to meaningful employment in the Toledo area, including connecting individuals to education pathways needed to follow their chosen workforce pathway. We are looking for a full-time candidate, but might consider a part-time candidate.

The candidate’s responsibilities will include the following:

• Working with our team to accomplish tangible goals

• Help lead these efforts and results

• Working with and/or regular interaction with targeted HR leaders.

• Meet with local private-sector employers, industry representatives, public-sector, and related non-profit services to determine workforce and/or talent needs

• Build and maintain strong partnerships with companies, economic development entities, chamber organizations, State workforce offices and other workforce development agencies to ensure collaborative workforce strategies.

• Presentations

• Working with schools and students to understand career pathways, internships and/or apprenticeships

• Assisting in Grant Reporting and writing.

• Assisting with Marketing content

• Office Management (organizing, preparing documents, communications, etc.)

Qualifications:

• Excellent Written and Verbal Communication Skills

• Self-Motivated

• Knowledge of Social Media Platforms

• Proficient with the Microsoft Office Suite (and Google Suite)

College education and experience required.
